FTP Access with Internet Explorer

How to access FTP servers via Internet Explorer. When you finish logging into the server, you will be able to transfer files the same way you do on your computer.

This means you can drag files from your computer and drop them into the FTP window.

Below are some detailed instructions on how to do this:

Open Internet Explorer and enter the address to your server (ex: ftp://ftp.mysite.com). Be sure to use FTP:// instead of the standard HTTP://

Now you should see a folder called PUB. Now click on FILE->LOGIN AS

Enter your username and password as provided to you:

Now you can simply drag and drop files into this folder
