We would like to thank everyone who showed up at the March of Dimes on May 3rd in Fremont MI
We sponsored the starting line and had a great time meeting with people who shared a devotion to this event.
We are proud to be a sponsor of this important cause.
On
a personal note: I've been involved as a walker for many years with the
walk america / march of dimes. My younger sister was born with hip
dysplasia. Surgery followed and many childhood years were spent
correcting the problem.
Later she had
developed a tumor that had eaten almost two vertebra in her back. You
can imagine the treatment was not pleasant....especially for a child.
My
involvement as a walker started early. I remember my mother pushing my
sister in a wheelchair all the way to the finish. Back then, the walks
were a little bit longer.
Firstly
I was brought to the walk as a child and participated because it was
'fun' and I knew somehow my mom was helping people.
Now
later in life; seeing children of friends and family helped by this
great cause, it warms my heart to know we're doing just a little bit
more to help.
A very sincere thanks to everyone involved.
